Aquatic Invasive Species Prevention Aid

Aquatic Invasive Species Prevention Aid is a specific purpose aid distributed at the county level. The proceeds from this aid must be used solely to prevent or limit the spread of nonnative, aquatic species at water access points within the county. The aid is allocated to all counties in the state as follows: 50 percent based on each county's share of watercraft trailer launches and 50 percent based on each county's share of watercraft trailer parking spaces.

For aids payable in 2014, the total appropriation was $4,500,000.

For aids payable in 2015 and each year thereafter the appropriation is $10,000,000.
