Site Coordinator Information for Tax Assistance Programs

• Strong organization skills
• Ability to recruit and retain volunteers 
• Willing to learn and stay current with new tax law changes 
• Values making sure volunteers have a rewarding experience
• Ability to process electronic tax returns 

All certifications require a passing score of 80% or higher prior to performing any site coordinator duties.

Required Certifications: 

• Volunteer Standards of Conduct 
• VITA and TCE Intake and Interview and Quality Review
• VITA and TCE Site Coordinator Test

Coordinators who provide tax law assistance, correct rejected returns, or quality review tax returns must have one or both certifications:

• Basic Tax Preparation 
• Advance Tax Preparation
