The Minnesota Department of Revenue has the authority to collect debts owed to Minnesota state courts, colleges and universities, and other state, local, and county agencies.

Referral Process [+]

Only qualifying agencies can refer debts to the Minnesota Department of Revenue for collection. Qualifying agencies include Minnesota:

State agencies
Local government units
State colleges or universities
Courts

To refer debts for collection, agencies must enter into a Service Level Agreement.
