Business Tax Account Management

Here are ways you can update your business information or close your tax accounts.

Update Your Business Information

You have three options to update your business information:

Log in to e-Services
Call Business Registration Services at 651-282-5225 or 1-800-657-3605 (toll-free)
Complete the Notice of Business Change form and mail it to the address on the form

Close Your Tax Account

You can close an account you if no longer need to file and pay that particular tax. When you close your business, you will also close all of your tax accounts.

You must still file any outstanding business tax returns. You can still access information in e-Services for the dates your accounts and business were open.

How to Close a Tax Account [+]

To close a tax account through e-Services, you must be an e-Services Master for the business.

Log in to e-Services
Select the tax account you want to close
Select the Account Information tab
Select Close Account
Complete the remaining steps as directed

You can also email business.registration@state.mn.us, or call 651-282-5225 or 1-800-657-3605 (toll-free).

Note: You should close tax accounts at the end of your filing cycles (annually, quarterly, or monthly).

How to Close a Business [+]

To close your business and all of your tax accounts through e-Services, you must be an e-Services Master for the business.

Log in to e-Services
Select the Taxpayer Information tab
Select Close Business
Complete the remaining steps as directed

Note: If your business closed more than a year ago, contact us.
