Shane Delaney, Assistant Commissioner

Shane Delaney serves as assistant commissioner at the Minnesota Department of Revenue. He oversees customer experience, outreach, public relations, strategic and crisis communications planning, and the Communications Division and staff.

Delaney has worked for the state of Minnesota since 2013. Before joining Revenue, he was director of communications at the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development. Delaney also served as communications director at MNsure. He has experience in private sector public relations and journalism.

Delaney has a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism and communication studies from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul.
