New or Updated Local Sales and Use Taxes

January 1, 2026:

• Faribault will have a 3% Lodging Tax
• Martin County will have a 0.5% Martin County Transit Sales and Use Tax
• New London Sales and Use Tax of 0.5% is ending December 31, 2025
• Richfield will have a 3% Lodging Tax
• Sibley County will 0.5% Transit Sales and Use Tax

October 1, 2025:

• Lake Vermilion Area will have a 3% Lodging Tax

July 1, 2025:

• Cottage Grove will have a 3% Lodging Tax
• East Grand Forks will have a 1% Sales and Use Tax
• Proctor increased to 1.5% Sales and Use Tax
• Roseville will have a 0.5% Sales and Use Tax 

April 1, 2025: 

• Blackduck will have a 0.5% Sales and Use Tax
• Chanhassen will have a 0.5% Sales and Use Tax
• Detroit Lakes will have a 0.5% Sales and Use Tax
• Dilworth will have a 0.5% Sales and Use Tax
• Henderson will have a 0.5% Sales and Use Tax
• Hibbing will have a 0.5% Sales and Use Tax
• Jackson County will have a 1% Sales and Use Tax
• Monticello will have a 0.5% Sales and Use Tax
• Richfield will have a 0.5% Sales and Use Tax
• Stearns County will have a 0.375% Sales and Use Tax
• Stillwater will have a 0.5% Sales and Use Tax
• Winona County will have a 0.25% Sales and Use Tax
• Woodbury will have a 0.5% Sales and Use Tax
